ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC17 - Week 44

Welcome to Week 44 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  It's transition week this week.  Angela has proclaimed DARK to be the November's Color of the Month.

It's your choice!  Will you sew with BROWN:

What about BLACK:

I think I might do a mix of the two.  We'll see...

SUNDAY - Today was my trip back from Asheville.  Apparently, the car radio wasn't very happy about that:

Here's a shot of a portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway, as we were heading toward home.  Dark car going by.  Dark lines on the road.  It looks like my surroundings are getting ready for DARK month over at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge:

MONDAY - Knit Group met for a SAFF Show and Tell this morning.  This bag represents MOST of my purchases:

I spent all afternoon trying to catch up on paperwork.

TUESDAY - It's the LAST day for sewing with PINK.  I have to tell you, I'm a little bit sad.  :o((

No time to dwell on it, though.  DS2 and I have plans to go shopping this afternoon.  We have several stops in mind, but we can't stay out too long...

The Trick-R-Treaters are coming.  Happy Halloween!!!  Are YOU ready???  I am.  I bought 5 bags of candy.  Bring on the little ghosts and goblins!!!

In the meantime, Bonnie Hunter introduced this year's On Ringo Lake Mystery Quilt.  Only four color families are required.  Here is the inspiration photo from Quiltville:

WEDNESDAY - This morning, I published the next installment of Wonderful Wednesday.  Go check out my post HERE.

This afternoon, I quilted with Needleb and made the tab closure for my friend Tracy's skirt:

The evening was spent at a Knit Night Dinner hosted at the home of my friend Cindy's, but found that I had no photo to share.

Kevin the Quilter posted the 2017 Scrap Club Summer Reveals.  He was kind enough to do a Virtual Scrap Club Mystery this time around.  Sapphire Stars Mystery:

THURSDAY - My weekly Quilt Group has rolled around, again.  Boy, the weeks sure do pass quickly!!

FRIDAY - This week at Coffee Club we started Sweater Class.  I made very little progress:

Yes.  I'm aware that it doesn't LOOK like a sweater.  The pattern that I'm knitting starts off like a shawl project.  Genius!!

I took a quick trip to Raleigh to have lunch with DS1, then spent the evening with one of my neighbors.  Another crazy-busy week in JoyfulQuilterLand.

SATURDAY - You know what that means, don't you?!  It's time to join in Angela's LINK PARTY!!!  Show off all of the DARK sewing you've been doing this week.

But first...

Off to the train station to drop DS2.  He's headed to New York to celebrate a good friend's birthday:

Until next time...
Get Scrappy!!!

  2. We can both do Bonnie’s QAL! I’ve got all my fabrics pulled. Did you see that Kevin posted over 50 pix of his QAL? That was a lot of participation. They must have a huge group! Have a great week.

  4. It will be interesting to see that sweater unfold - starts like a shawl? And is that yarn purple? It looks yummy!

  5. You get so much done each week. I love the color you are using for your sweater. Are you going to play along with Bonnie this fall? I liked her colors, but don't have that kind of yardage for each.

  6. Thank you for visiting my blog, I’m enjoying yours. Not sure about the mystery yet, I’ve missed the last couple. Some of my favorite quilts are from her mysteries though.
